Day 01: Negombo to Colombo
On your arrival in Bandaranaike International Airport, you will warmly welcome by our company representative and then transfer to Negombo, the mesmerizing western coastal area of the country. Then we will start more safely and the great journey to enjoy natural lush of Sri Lanka. The first destination is Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. The main city is home to a majority of the Sri Lanka’s corporate offices, restaurants and entertainment venues. The imposing Colombo National Museum, dedicated to Sri Lankan history, borders sprawling Viharamahadevi Park, Shop in the Pettah, Stroll on Galle Face Green, Get aquainted with Sri Lanka s animals at Dehiwala Zoo are the best tourist attractions in Colombo. Afternoon, you can join with a city tour in Colombo. Overnight stay in Colombo.
Day 02: Colombo to Polonnaruwa
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, leave to Polonnaruwa. En route, you will visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala which is a home for about 80 elephants, found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. It is a more popular and accessible place to see large numbers of elephants in a natural habitat. Not even that, this place is a great opportunity to observe the giant creature behavior. Then you will reach to ancient city of Polonnaruwa. It is the second city listed in Sri Lanka’s long line of kingdoms. Overnight stay in Polonnaruwa.
Day 03: Polonnaruwa to Sigiriya
After breakfast at the hotel, you can join with the tour of visit ancient city of Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa is the second ancient capital in Sri Lanka, where securely thousands of years history. Commence a sightseeing tour of Polonnaruwa visit the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Lankatilleke Vihare, the Thuparama Dagoba and the Gal Vihare, three splendid statues of the Buddha in upright, sedant and recumbent postures carved out of a large rock. Among its many attractions, the Parakrama Samudra (sea) is a landmark. Created by King Parakramabahu, it is the largest man-made rainwater reservoir in the country, spanning an area of 2,500 ha and remains a primary source of water for agriculture in the district. After visiting this great city, driven back to Sigiriya and overnight stay in Sigiriya.Other interesting sights are the Lotus Bath, Tivanke Image House with the best known Buddhist frescoes of Sri Lanka. This ancient city is today one of the most beautiful centers of this island’s cultural heritage. End of the day, you will driven to Sigiriya and stay overnight at Sigiriya.
Day 04: Sigiriya to Kandy
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, leave to visit Kandy via Dambulla and Matale. First, you can visit and climbing to Sigiriya rock fortress. One of Sri Lanka’s most fascinating UNESCO world heritage sites. No matter how often you climb to the summit of this one-time hilltop fortress of the maverick Sinhalese king, Kassapa, the pleasure barely diminishes because of the abandon spectacular views at the summit. Then you will reach to visit Dambulla Cave Temple. It is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding. Major attractions are spread over 5 caves, which contain statues and paintings. Then visit the Spice garden at Matale and take part in a conducted tour to get some knowledge about the growth and use of spices in the day to day life. After that travel to Kandy and overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 05: Kandy
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, visit the ancient city of Kandy, is known to be the country’s cultural capital and an example of Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage. The city is home to the tooth relic of the Lord Buddha and it is housed in the famous ‘DaladaMaligawa’ or ‘Temple of the Tooth’, which attracts thousands to the city every year including devotees as well as visitors who come to marvel at the beautiful architecture of the temple. You can join with a city tour in Kandy including Temple of Tooth Relic, Kandy Museum and Royal Botanical Garden and Upper Lake Side Drive. In the evening, you can see a cultural show in Kandy. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 06: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you will leave to Nuwara Eliya. En route, you can visit the Tea Plantation and a Tea Factory. And also you can visit beautiful Ramboda Water falls. Then we reach to Nuwara Eliya. Late afternoon, you can join with a city tour in Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is known as ‘Little England’ due to its climatic features and because the town has been designed and built to look like a typical English village. A Nuwara Eliya City Tour will typically take you past quaint buildings such as the red brick Post Office, the esteemed Hill Club, The Golf Club with its 18 hole course and the Race Course, where Horse Races are still conducted regularly. The flowers that bloom during the season add a splash of color to the landscape and a boat ride on Lake Gregory is a fun activity. Overnight stay in Nuwara-Eliya.
Day 07: Nuwara Eliya to Negombo
After breakfast at the hotel, you will driven to Colombo via Kithulgala. Kitulagala is a beautiful little town located in a wet zone rain forest. It has the Kelani River running through and it experiences two monsoons every year. Kitulgala is a best location for adventure sports like water rafting. In addition to that, an interesting episode in the history of Kitulagala is the filming of the movie “Bridge on the River Kwai” in 1957. Remains of the concrete foundation of the bridge are still visible today. End of the day proceed to Negombo and stay overnight.
Day 08: Negombo
Full day leisure in the beach.
Day 09: Negombo to Airport
On completion of this tour, you will be driven to Katunayake International Airport for Departure.
